The Memorial Box Collection
The Memorial Box Collection is for those who appreciate fine craftsmanship and wish to memorialize their loved one with its' time honored tradition. The Shakers pursued the highest quality possible in their craft items believing the product of their hands symbolized the glorification of God. My early training was not only about the basics of the woodworking craft but also about the internalization of a steadfast commitment to excellence. Like the Shakers, I approach these boxes as an artisan/craftsman producing a sacred object and not as a manufacturer with the division of labor required for mass production. What these boxes offer is a non-fragmented expression of body, mind. and spirit.

After service in the military in the 1960's, I established my workshop here in northeast Ohio. Ohio has an abundance of raw materials for my work. My timber comes from nearby Amish communities.

These boxes are made for the ashes of one or two persons - the Together Forever Series - These boxes are intended for display - in a masoleum or other suitable place - or burial. To my knowledge this is the only box made for two. See below for pricing.
